Maile and Adam met each other on St. Patrick’s Day in 2022.
“Adam approached me after seeing me throughout the evening, something I found out was very out of the ordinary for him and asked for my number. Truthfully I was uninterested in dating and figured giving my number out would let me escape people as quickly as possible. Adam’s friendly invite to coffee was met with silence, and days later I received a little blurb about him and he asked again. My friend convinced me to go, so after talking for two weeks we finally met up. Although it took me a while to come around every day since our first date has been a breeze. We fell in love quickly and never looked back!” Maile said.
On Halloween evening of that same year, Adam proposed on the Oregon coast on a beach getaway.
“We love the beach and the soft, hazy tones and wanted our colors to reflect that. There’s something tranquil about the Oregon coast and we wanted that represented throughout our day. We chose a minimal approach and made sure everything was intentional.” said Maile.
Maile and Adam took time to prioritize having a no-stress day. Something unique that they did was change into another outfit so that “we can be free to run wild” and take more photos on the beach. Maile loves baking and made her own vegan and gluten-free cake as well as made their vow books.
“Our day was perfect for us and we’re grateful we prioritized doing what felt right for us. When we think back we remember our morning run on the beach, decorating our cake, and realizing we only had an hour to get ready and finish our vows. Ha! We saw each other multiple times before our first look but it didn’t matter because we were just going with the flow. I think the coast rewarded our carefree attitudes by giving us two sunny, beautiful days!”
